so i was talking to Patrick from Natalie Portman's Shaved Head and he agreed to answer a few questions for me. I'll be using them for a paper i am doing in school, but i also thought you people might really enjoy it :)

1. i know your band name is taken from 'V for Vendetta' but what inspired you to choose 'natalie portman's shaved head' what was so enticing about the movie for you?
We actually chose the name long before the movie was released, back when the entertainment news shows were reporting on Natalie's new hairdo a lot and it was a hot topic at school. We decided to use the name on a whim for a class game and then later applied it to our little fledgling band at the time. It just stuck. And actually, I still haven't seen the movie...
2. What is something that really gets you? A thing people do that really points out the idiocy of modern day people. An irksome habit of our common society. something that really gets you thinking to yourself "what an idiot."
I try not to focus on things that make me think "what an idiot." There's no time for that! I'm just doing my own thing, trying to make people have fun and have fun with them. It'd be much easier to tell you a bunch of things I love.
3. What is one of the funest experiences you have had on the road?
It's hard to pick just one... but anytime we tour with CSS we have a lot of fun. They are one of our favorite bands and really cool to hang out with when we've toured with them. I remember just chilling out with them backstage, taking stupid pictures and spying on the audience through the curtains. Also, anytime we're onstage performing for people is pretty much a highlight.
4. If you could spend a day in anyone else’s shoes who would it be, and why? (It can be a character from a novel or someone who has already passed away)
It might be kind of silly, but right now I might choose Rivers Cuomo from Weezer. I fell in love with Weezer in my crucial early-teen music years, and have loved them since. Rivers is a really amazing songwriter and a very interesting person. I would just be cool to live his life, maybe write some songs. I think I'd try to get into some exclusive Hollywood club too.
5. What is the craziest/most insane thing one of your fans has done?
Well, the more crazy things I cant really talk about... But one time recently two fans drove some 850 miles from San Francisco to Seattle just for our show. That was pretty amazing. Then there's just been general audience insanity: crowd surfing, moshing, freak dancing, you name it.
6. Is there any question you wish someone would ask you, a question you have been dying to answer but never get to? If so, please share. If not, that’s ok too.
That's a pretty good question. I think interviewers could be more creative with their questions, but there isn't really anything I am dying to answer. I like a little mystery.
he really was just so much fun to chat with. he is not for sure one of my new heroes :) he is so cheerful and nice. I really with NPSH good luck over the next few years. they are amazingly talented musically.
